Alphabet Sports Collective is committed to supporting the creation of more communities within Hockey that are safe, inclusive, and welcoming for 2SLGBTQIA+ people from grassroots to the pros.
Alphabet Sports Collective engaged my services to “up their website game”.
The website needed to communicate the organization’s mission, with the primary goal of connecting 2SLGBTQIA+ hockey fans with their Circle Platform community. Whether you play, cheer, or lead, this community is for you.
This project involved the planning, design and development of a custom WordPress site that made good use of their recently updated brand. Working with it, and client-supplied written content I was able to build a website to support the organization’s needs including news, events, donations, e-newsletter signup, a contact form, and several direct links to their community platform.
The primary motif used in the design evokes a sense of light reflecting off the ice, and the animation of elements of the page is always horizontal, consistent with player movement.
